Description

The Zora Race

Found in the sea and rivers of the Great Bay, the aquatic Zora are usually calm and collected people. They can seem a bit territorial to another race if they intrude on their domain, especially the Gerudo Pirates. A very social race, they like to share their harmonious voices and affinity for music. It is rare for them to stray from their Domain.

Appearance:

The Zora are commonly 6ft and 7ft at their tallest. It is unusual for them to be taller or shorter unless they are young. Their appearance can vary greatly depending on the type of sea creature they resemble. There are different body types and head shapes. As long as you can tell they come from the ocean or rivers, they must be a fish! Very few Zora wear clothing at all, but there are a few who fancy hylian fabrics and jewelry. Some Zora, like Gorons, like to tattoo themselves.

Limitations:

- Zora are about 6 to 7 feet on average!

- Their skin color varies from different shades of blues, light browns, to pinks and reds! Try to stay in one color scheme. NO RAINBOW ZORA! They usually have reason for flashy colors.

- They sport large arm fins which seem to be used as blades. Some may also use hand crafted weapons made of shells and such or sometimes their own instruments.

- Almost all Zora have black sclera, it is very rare for them not to! Females are more likely to not have than males. Only Female can have 4 eyes.

- Female Zora are more frequent but not as common as the Hylians. They are a bit shorter than the males, and unlike their male counterparts they can have brighter eye colors and on occasion white sclera. They can, but rarely, sport coral or fin like hair. Some may be creative and wear seaweed. No human like hair, not even a wig. It would irritate their skin.

- Not all Zora wear clothes! Most of them like to go about as they are. Maybe a cloak at most. Their reproductive organs are not visible in any way.

- Your Zora can only be one type of fish. It would be nice if somewhere in the extra section it is explained what they are based off of! They can be a bit different too but they cannot produce poisons or magic! (e.g.: Shark, Octopus, Blob fish, Manta ray, Swordfish, Jellyfish, etc)

- Please try to avoid excess parts unless given permission by the head admin. They need to have a good reason behind extra limbs and glowing bits, such as species and exposure to elements to bring about mutation. (i.e.: Extra eyes (4 for females)/limbs/ears/mouths, too much glow or entirely glows, too many colors.)

- Please try to avoid any impractical facial accessories, they see just fine. Fin piercings are okay but don't put too much weight on them!

Name Guidelines:

Zoras are very similar to the Hylians as far as having unusual or otherwordly names. Very rarely are real world names used, but they seem to pop up more than Hylians and seem to be almost like pet-names. "L" and "R" seem to be a favored beginning of a name among the Zoras.

Notable Members:
Evan, Japas, Laruto, Lulu, Mikau, Oren, Prince Ralis, Princess Ruto, Queen Rutela, Tijo, Toto, Zora

Fun Facts:

- The Zora are an ever evolving race, known to change with their waters. They have been seen both monstrous and beautiful. In one timeline, they changed so drastically to escape the sea.

- Female Zora do not give live birth, they lay eggs!

- Most Zora have fins on the back of their heads, making their heads alone look like fish.

- Owning a Zora Scale can grant the power to dive under water for longer periods. They have also developed special suits for non-Zoras to breathe underwater for an unlimited amount of time.
